Nevada State Legislature cracking down on graffiti taggers

The state legislature is feeling the pressure to get tough on graffiti taggers.
Las Vegas Mayor Oscar Goodman has suggested "cutting off their thumbs." While
that won't happen, the Reno City Council has some other ideas.
They want a state law requiring judges to take driver's licenses from vandals
and impound their cars. The Sparks City Council is suggesting an extra 200 hours
of community service. Metro also wants stiffer penalties for crimes that cause
at least $400 in damage.
Graffiti is the single most destructive property crime in southern Nevada. The
County says every time graffiti vandals strike, they decrease your property
value by $10,000.
