Police say teens vandalized truck
RIB MOUNTAIN - Three teens have been referred to children's court services after
police say they vandalized a Marathon County Highway Department truck over the
weekend.
The Marathon County Sheriff's Department received a call at about 4:30 a.m.
Saturday about suspicious noises near Highway N and Clover Lane. An officer
arrived and found a parked truck that had recently been painted with graffiti.
The paint still was wet.
The officer then questioned a boy found in the area. After his footprint matched
one at the scene, the boy told the officer that three others were responsible
for the graffiti.
After questioning the boys and speaking with their parents, the 13, 14 and
15-year-olds returned to the truck at 6:30 a.m. to clean the paint off with
hand-sized brushes and toothbrushes.
