More Trash and Graffiti on Metrobuses

Washington (AP) - Riders are leaving behind more trash and graffiti on
Metrobuses
Transit agency officials say they've seen 20 percent increase in vandalism and
graffiti on buses since last September. Riders surveyed by the agency also said
they've noticed more trash, and said Metro should do a better job of cleaning
the buses.
Metro officials say ridership has grown almost 12 percent in four years, but the
number of cleaners has stayed the same. They also have a hard time retaining
cleaners. The turnover rate is 118 percent. They make between 11 and 20 bucks an
hour.
Officials say they may revamp their cleaning plan
