Graffiti Wall Paint Reaches Roadway 6/28/2004

Painting on the graffiti wall on NW 34th Street could be more difficult because of irresponsible artists.

The wall has become a part of U-F history as students and residents have been allowed to use the wall to drape their art and slogans, but paint spilling onto the street lately has the Department of Transportation asking police to beef up security. DOT Spokeswoman Gina Busscher says the wall is not the problem but paint on the road is dangerous. Busscher says the wall will not be torn down, though. If damage to the road continues, Busscher says the DOT will ask law enforcement to step in.
