BOISE -- Police say graffiti in Boise is a problem that just won't go away
and this week the markings showed up again in a very visible part of town. It can be found on Front Street between 5th and 11th streets. Several signs
and a building were hit. Boise Police say this isn't the first time they've found graffiti in this
part of town. "This type of graffiti has been going on in this downtown area for about
year and a half," said Lt. Tony Plott. About 14 different new marks were made downtown Tuesday night. Over the last year and a half, police have discovered about 40 similar
symbols around town. So far, police don't think it is the work of a gang, but they don't know
what the symbols mean. If you have any information about the graffiti, you can call crime stoppers
at 343-COPS. There is a reward of up to $1,000 for information leading to an arrest and
conviction.
