Taylor police obtain a portfolio of graffiti photos that will likely be used as evidence against a 17-year-old male, Local 4 reported.
The teen is accused of spray painting graffiti on at least 12 businesses in Taylor, and snapping photos of the damage, according to police. The property damaged includes the outside walls of businesses, rail cars and electrical boxes. One graffiti message apparently challenged authorities, saying, "Catch me if you can," the station reported.
Bruce Lankford, the owner of an auto body repair shop, is among those who will have to pay to clean up the damage. Lankford reportedly just finished paying thousands for new doors and wood trim on his shop before the vandal struck.
"He just costs you more money and it cuts into what little bit of profits you already make," said Lankford.
A warrant for the teen's arrest is pending, according to police.
Police believe the graffiti is a teenage prank and is not gang-related.
