A MELBOURNE company is leading the world with a new product that easily removes graffiti.

Ted Smart, owner of Smart Distribution Services, has come up with a solution to the problem that costs the State Government almost $25 million a year.

"We've been employing industrial chemists for five years, and they've come up with a product called Smart Wipeout," Mr Smart said.

"You just spray, paint or brush it on any surface - including painted ones - leave it for 60 seconds, and then high-pressure hose it off."

The product attacks only the chemicals in spray paint, leaving the surface intact.

Smart Wipeout sells for $29.95 per litre. About five litres are needed to clean a wall of the size pictured.
