Appeal to catch graffiti artist
Police in Birmingham are appealing for help in identifying a prolific graffiti artist believed to be responsible for thousands of pounds of damage.

Officers believe the person responsible is a teenager who has daubed dozens of walls, stretching from Handsworth through to Lozells and Aston.

His trademark "tag" line appears to be the word "Tribe".

Police have unsuccessfully checked local schools to see if the culprit can be identified.

A West Midlands Police spokesman said it cost £500 a day to remove the graffiti, but in many cases it was back again within days.

Pc Bill Wardell from West Midlands Police say they are responding to the community's concerns.

"Graffiti and rubbish have shown up to be one of the main community concerns therefore we're addressing this with the local council, removing the graffiti from the area and making it a safer environment," he said.
