READING, Pa. -- A 16-year-old boy pleaded guilty to charges that he sprayed graffiti on 40 residences and a Reading City Hall bathroom.

 

The vandalism caused more than $5,000 in damage. The boy also was accused of spraying graffiti on a city park monument on Memorial Day.

 

The boy is being placed in a treatment program at the Youth Services Agency of Pennsylvania in Carbon County.

 

He was also ordered to write letters apologizing to all of the victims and perform 100 hours of community service.
