Man pleads to graffiti, may face 2 years in jail
March 27, 2007
An 18-year-old Corpus Christi man pleaded guilty Monday to two charges of
graffiti.
Jonathan Sanchez's attorney asked 117th District Judge Sandra Watts to give him
probation instead of jail time.
Sanchez is accused of causing more than $5,400 in damage to Ray High School on
Sept. 7 and Sept. 8, 2006. He also is accused of damaging businesses on
Chaparral Street.
Sanchez's co-defendant, 21-year-old Alex Gonzalez, was sentenced to 10 months in
jail on March 6 after pleading guilty to the same crime.
Sanchez faces six months to two years in a state jail facility, according court
documents.
Watts had not decided late Monday on Sanchez's punishment.
