Graffiti damage to Commons costs $300
May 11, 2004
Touches of
graffiti were splattered around South Campus Commons buildings two and four over
the weekend, University Police said, a problem that cost more than $300 to clean
up.
The words "JIVE," "LAZY!" and "F---" were some
of of the colorful expressions written with white spray paint, black marker and
crayons on a number of windows, two transformers, a brick wall and a Dumpster.
David Hawley, a Capstone maintenance supervisor, called police around 9:30
a.m. Saturday to report the graffiti he found that morning. He said the
incidents occurred between 6 p.m. Friday and early Saturday.
Most of the graffiti was cleaned up, Atwell said.
