A graffiti vandal who sprayed scores of sites across Coventry has caused an estimated £40,000 in damage, according to police.

The offender used the tag "Doc" on each of the buildings he daubed in the city.

West Midlands Police said a 22-year-old man had been arrested on suspicion of causing criminal damage and released on bail pending further inquiries.

Officers are appealing for anyone with information about the culprit to contact them at Little Park Street station on 0845 113 5000.
