Two youths, ages 14 and 16, were apprehended spray-painting a wall on March 25 in the 800 block of South Alley. Officer Wally Boggess found two cans of black spray paint and “other graffiti producing devices” in the older juvenile’s backpack. No graffiti related materials were found in the 14-year-old’s backpack, but he was found to be in possession of tobacco products.

The 16-year-old was arrested for vandalism and the 14-year-old for possession of tobacco products. Both subjects were booked and then released to their mother. These arrests reflect the Police Department’s increased enforcement and abatement of tagging and graffiti in Santa Paula.
