Grandson of famous designer Mori nabbed for graffiti

A grandson of famous designer Hanae Mori and a Canadian man have been arrested for drunkenly vandalizing a wall of a Tokyo office building, police said.

Ben Mori, 24, a designer living in the Akasaka district of Tokyo's Minato-ku, and Anderson Adam James, 28, an English teacher of Canadian nationality, are accused of damaging a building.

They admitted to the allegations during questioning. "We couldn't suppress an impulse to scribble," one of them was quoted as telling investigators.

The two used a color spray to paint graffiti on a wall of an office building in Shibuya-ku, Tokyo, in the predawn hours of Sept. 19, local police said.

Alerted by a passer-by, officers rushed to the scene and arrested Mori and James at the scene. They were drunk at the time. (Mainichi)
