A U.S. clothing designer and video-game developer has removed graffiti from a
Toronto restaurant after the owner complained the spray paint -- part of a
marketing campaign for a video game -- would cost him a lot to clean up. Atari
hired people to spray a number of dripping X's around the city to promote its
game Getting Up, which involves graffiti. The game was co-created by clothing
designer Marc Ecko, who agreed to remove the paint from the walls of Tortilla
Flats after its manager contacted him. "He admitted they went overboard and
admitted full responsibility and paid for the cleanup," David Nichols told
CityTV. "They fulfilled their promise. They came by ... and paid for it at their
expense and they did a beautiful job."
