18 year old, 3 juveniles held in graffiti incident
Sparks police arrested three Reno juveniles and an 18-year-old early Thursday
for painting graffiti on a business in the 700 block of Greenbrae Drive.
Officer Ben Russell saw several subjects painting on the wall about 2 a.m. and
followed them when they left in a white sedan. He stopped and searched the car,
finding drug paraphernalia, two 18-packs of beer, cans of spray paint and other
graffti equipment, police said.
Booked into Washoe County Jail was Amotai Penisimani, 18, of Reno, on suspicion
of three counts of contributing to the the delinquency of a minor, graffiti,
possession of drug paraphernalia and being a minor in possession of alcohol.
Two 17-year-old boys and a 15-year-old boy were placed in the Jan Evans Juvenile
Justice Center, accused of being a minor in possession of alcohol, graffiti,
possession of graffiti materials and curfew violation. One also was accused of
having false identificatio and another with having no car insurance and
possession of nun-chukkas.
