Some parents who bring their children to Eglinton Park say they are disgusted with the graffiti at the entrance of the restrooms.

In the park on Eglinton Ave., just west of Yonge St., a building serves as a restroom and storage area.

Offensive graffiti covers its beige outside walls, including profanity, crude cartoons and racist comments. The park, which is behind the parks and recreation department's North Toronto Memorial Community Centre, is used regularly by groups of camp children.

"It's awful. You don't want the kids seeing that kind of stuff," said Jane Tavener as she walked in the park with her two kids.

STATUS: The city was contacted yesterday and a city official said the graffiti would be cleaned by this morning.
