Councilman Targeted By Graffiti Website, Police Patrolling His Home
October 21, 2006
Days after he helped convict a notorious graffiti vandal, councilman Peter
Vallone Jr. was targeted Friday by members of an online graffiti website.
The Queens councilman's home address was posted on a graffiti website, along
with a note encouraging people to make "renovations," to the building.
Vallone had led the fight to prosecute graffiti artist "Kiko" who pleaded guilty
Thursday to defacing a number of properties in Astoria. Now, supporters of "Kiko"
may be seeking revenge.
Vallone's spokesman said police have been notified and they will be patrolling
around his home for the next few weeks.
