IRVINE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Boost Mobile(R) today announced an exclusive
content deal with Los Angeles-based artist REVOK offering its youth wireless
customers an opportunity to own a piece of artwork from the renowned artist on
their Boost Mobile phone.
"The goal of Boost's strategic content partnerships is to support art and design
that is relevant and interesting to youth globally," said Jeff Park, director of
business development, Boost Mobile. "To make the art of these extremely talented
individuals available without the gallery price tag enables our customers to
affordably express their appreciation for art. Boost has a unique opportunity to
partner with artists such as REVOK, and is fortunate to be in a business that
provides a natural and relevant platform for their work."
On display at Boost Mobile's Street Culture Lounge and Gold Box Mission during
the MAGIC and ASR tradeshows, the partnership with REVOK will expand beyond
wireless content. Boost Mobile also plans to collaborate with the artist to
design limited edition mobile accessory collections, as well as other products
that are relevant to mobile communication and pop culture. Boost Mobile's
support of a creative lifestyle, culture and attitude is represented by this
exclusive deal as an extension of the brand's commitment to enhancing the youth
wireless experience.
"It's a great honor to team up with a brand like Boost Mobile, one that
sincerely works to build a relationship with its artistic partners," said REVOK.
"Using the mobile phone as a canvas allows me to display my work in an easily
accessible medium while at the same time giving Boost customers a new way to
personalize their phones."
Beginning December 2006, REVOK's custom designed wallpapers will be available
for purchase to Boost Mobile customers directly from their Boost Mobile phone
via Boost Wireless Web or at www.boostmobile.com for an expected price of $1.99.
Boost Mobile's strategic alliance with artists, such as REVOK, opens an
opportunity for a wider audience to get acquainted with some of the country's
most sought-after artists.
About REVOK
The easiest way to get noticed in the graffiti world is to paint high-profile,
hard-to-reach spots. But the attention doesn't always mean respect: simply
climbing a building and painting it means next to nothing if it's not done well.
Los Angeles-based graffiti artist REVOK has been painting mind-blowing,
seemingly inaccessible spots, with grace and style, around the country for
10-plus years now. Subsequently, tales of his exploits have reached folklore
status within the graffiti world. REVOK's distinctive style has influenced
countless artists, who have done their best to emulate his handiwork, forcing
him to get more creative and broaden his stylistic repertoire. He has reinvented
the alphabet several times over, giving his letters life and so much movement
that they seem to jump off the wall. This past summer, REVOK has spread his name
throughout Europe, appearing at numerous festivals to paint for fans and
onlookers. Now European writers can join their American counterparts in
admiration of REVOK's unparalleled talents. For more information, visit

If threes one thing youth seems to like when it comes to their cell phones, its
customization. Beyond just being able to use features to download music or take
pictures, having a unique phone with new features, is important in the youth
cell phone market. In order to meet this need, Boost Mobile has teamed up with
REVOK, a graffiti artist.
As per their recently announced strategic content partnership agreement, set up
to help make youth both aware of art, and able to reasonably purchase it, custom
designed wallpaper will be available for purchase. Also announced today, Boost
and REVOK have plans to work together to design limited edition mobile accessory
collections.
"Using the mobile phone as a canvas allows me to display my work in an easily
accessible medium while at the same time giving Boost customers a new way to
personalize their phones," commented REVOK in a statement.
REVOK is a well-known graffiti artist whose work is admired for its beauty and
placement is very hard to reach places.
Just last week, Boost made news when they announced a new music phone, just in
time for the Christmas season. The Motorola (News - Alert) i885 handset, perfect
for youth users, includes an MP3 player with internal and external stereo
speakers and a removable microSD memory card.
Boost also announced recently the latest edition to Boost's portfolio of phones.
