Graffiti artist finds it's good to get caught
VALLETTA (Reuters) - Getting caught red-handed
busily spraying away under a London bridge landed a graffiti artist a job at a
five-star hotel in Prague.
Christian Grage, the general manager of the Corinthia Towers Hotel in the
Czech Republic's capital, hired Chris Fenwick on the spot to help liven up the
hotel's beer club.
The Maltese-based Corinthia Group said Fenwick, a creative designer for
an up-and-coming teen Web site in Britain, exchanged his running shoes for
unlimited supply of colourful spray, and the opportunity to let his imagination
run riot.
The hotel chain, which operates 22 hotels in 11 countries, said Fenwick was
an instant hit and painted not only the Beer and Bowling Club but filled up
other sections with images of robotic vacuum cleaners and guests leaping over
suitcases.
