NOBLESVILLE, IND. -- Investigators suspect a Chicago-based gang may be responsible for vandalizing museum exhibits and downtown businesses with graffiti.
Evidence suggests that members of the "Made U Look" gang spray-painted two train cars at the Indiana Transportation Museum July 6 or 7 in the Indianapolis suburb of Noblesville, Detective Wade Roberts said Thursday.
The group also may be responsible for the spray-painting of as many as 14 buildings and storefronts around the community's courthouse square June 16 or 17, Roberts said.
The gang has vandalized trains, buildings and underpasses in cities throughout the nation, including Indianapolis, authorities said.
The gang makes no secret of its activities. They have a Web site that features pictures of members at work, Roberts said.
No arrests have been made. Authorities are trying to connect the graffiti with vandals' real names.
