BSkyB launches 'graffiti' viral to push Reach for the Sky

LONDON - BSkyB is pushing its youth initiative Reach for the Sky with a new 'graffiti' viral game called 'Writing on the Wall'.

The viral encourages teenagers to indulge in a pastime that is usually frowned upon -- graffiting a virtual wall at this site and then sending the link on to their friends to get them to join in. The idea is to build on the communal aspects of Reach for the Sky, BSkyB's initiative to help young people to make the most of their lives and think about their futures. Daniella Dowling, a producer at BSkyB, said: "We wanted to create a platform where users can submit their own ideas or work together with their friends to create original street art." She added: "It's a novel way to communicate with other users and a great way for young people to connect with one another. Plus it's perfect for Valentine's Day as you can send anonymous designs to your loved ones." The Reach for the Sky website has lots of information for young people about careers in the media, as well as giving tips on breaking into the industry and surviving university.
